'Bellarine Summer'

90cm x 150cm acrylic on stretched canvas landscape inspired by a local flower farm on the Bellarine Peninsula not far from where we live in Geelong. I have cultivated a slightly surreal version of the dahlias, alliums and zinnias to reflect the extraordinary beauty of nature, that can seem impossible in its intricacies of design, its perfect imperfections, its bold and daring colour. This is a large and striking piece that captures viewers' attention the minute they encounter it. The surface has a texture to it that adds much to the effect. Please enjoy!
