Still Life Glorious

This bountiful, bold beauty is full of light and delicate shadows. 90cm x 120cm acrylic on stretched canvas, the gorgeous chinoiserie vase and bowl complement the thick glossy glaze of the French provincial red jug. The pears are also a nod to the French, however the striking lime yellow vase is a beloved piece by Wedgewood! The books have been included as a reference to two of my favourite artists, whose work I find inspiring and astonishing in equal measure. Finally the glorious crown of pure white lilies and flush carmine red roses finish the painting with the floral flourish I adore. I hope you do too!
